Quilt Show President’s Challenge

“Making the Traditional Untraditional”

Be inspired by the traditional quilt block, quilt pattern, traditional quilt fabric and such but then turn in up a notch or even upside down and make it untraditional. I wonder what a bold and modern mini quilt design would look like done in antique fabrics.  What would happen if you took a 1930s pattern and made it out of some funky new fabric?  This is just a few ideas.  You take the idea and make it yours.

Rules:  Each quilt must contain a quilt front, batting and quilt back (a complete quilt sandwich) and be finished (bound).

Size: The perimeter (total length of the entire border) can be no less than 96 inches and no more than 144 inches.

Prize: Ribbon for best interpretation of the challenge
